Hansgrohe South Africa, in assiocation with Reach for a Dream, recently treated 70 young children to a weekend away packed with laughter and fun at the annual Camp Sunshine.
Busses collected the children and transported them to Kogelberg Farm Hostel in the Western Cape, where they were greeted by nurses and volunteers who put together a program which incorporated both physical and mental activities to keep the children entertained. Camp Sunshine, which takes place 3 times a year in the different provinces, was conceptualised to give children the opportunity to leave their worries and illness behind for a weekend and enjoy days of fun with their friends who are in similar situations.
Hansgrohe South Africa has been involved with Reach for a Dream for the past 4 years and consider corporate social investment as an essential part of their operations and as an opportunity for them to give back to the community and help those less fortunate. Anthony Mederer, Managing director of Hansgrohe South Africa commented: “As a father myself, there is no better joy than to see happy children with smiles from ear to ear; it is our privilege at Hansgrohe to experience that with these young children.”
